Hurom H70 Easy Clean Slow Juicer Review and My Fave Ginger Shot Recipe

Hurom H70 Easy Clean Slow Juicer in white

Recently, I had the opportunity to test out the Hurom H70 easy clean slow juicer. We love our previous Hurom juicer, and we have found that the easy clean design is a game changer. Without it, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to make fresh, homemade juice very often. This is primarily because I still have bad memories of old juicers with strainer designs, and that build-up of pulp that I could never quite remove from the unit.

Here is my review of the Hurom H70 juicer and the features I most admire. Check out Hurom's selection of juicers for making homemade fresh juice, nut milks and frozen desserts.

Vegan Medjool Date Caramel Blondies

Vegan Medjool Date Caramel Blondies

These delicious squares, made with Medjool Dates, combine the tasty, caramel-like filling of a date square with the simple sweet goodness of a blondie, for a perfect holiday dessert or snack.

Date squares are one of my all-time favourite sweets. But I also love a good, classic blondie. So why not combine the two? A simple Medjool Date filling makes a caramel-like centre in an easy-to-make vegan blondie.

This dessert or snack square is made with simple ingredients, the star of the show being Natural Delights Medjool Dates, which are bathed in sunshine as they grow, and packaged straight from nature. Medjools are a fresh fruit, available year-round, so they are a perfect healthy option (with 16 essential vitamins and minerals) to add to your cooking and baking, or to eat straight from the container!

Easy Vegan Apple Cinnamon Cake Recipe

Easy Vegan Apple Cinnamon Cake Recipe

This vegan apple cinnamon cake recipe (no eggs, no dairy) is so easy to make, but looks impressive and tastes delicious! You'll fool your guests into thinking you crafted a complicated dessert.

A cake that helps you get your seven servings of fruit and vegetables a day? Yes indeed! This recipe for vegan apple cinnamon cake combines two of my favourite foods - cake and fruit - in a very good way. Take a homemade vanilla cake base and swirl in a delicious mix of spicy cinnamon and sweet sugar. Top it with firm, sweet Organic Washington apple slices and bake.

The result is an incredibly tasty, moist cake that's perfect for afternoon tea or evening dessert. May I suggest having a slice of this easy vegan apple cinnamon cake for breakfast as well? An apple a day and all that.

Organic Washington Apples

For this scrumptious little apple cake, I used Organic Washington Granny Smith applesWashington State is one of the premier apple-growing areas in the world and the growing conditions make it an ideal region to grow organic apples.

Easy Baked Apples With Oatmeal Crumble Topping (Vegan Recipe)

Easy Baked Apples With Oatmeal Crumble Topping (Vegan Recipe)

Classic baked apples with tasty oatmeal crumble topping are so easy to make and are a perfect comforting dessert for fall and winter.

Baked apples are a classic comfort food dessert. Add a crumbly, slightly sweet, crispy oatmeal topping and you have a suitably delicious alternative to apple pie, without the oil-laden pie crust. These baked apples with oatmeal crumble topping make for a healthy, delicious dessert that couldn't be simpler to make. And the recipe calls for a short list of handy ingredients. The result is very much like an apple crisp, with a little less fuss involved.

Organic Washington Apples

For this cozy baked apples recipe, I used Organic Washington apples in the Honeycrisp variety, but other firm, sweet apples like Organic Washington Granny Smith apples would work wonderfully too. Washington State is known as one of the premier apple-growing areas in the world and the growing conditions make Washington an ideal region to grow organic apples.

Fast & Easy Vegan Apple Cinnamon Crescent Rolls With Chocolate Glaze (Recipe)

Fast & Easy Vegan Apple Cinnamon Crescent Rolls With Chocolate Glaze (Recipe)

These fast and easy vegan apple cinnamon crescent rolls are incredibly delicious, like little three-bite cinnamon rolls with a tasty apple surprise in the middle.

In my last post, I shared a recipe for easy vegan apple turnovers. These pockets of sweet apple goodness are delicious and so simple to make, with the help of puff pastry. But I didn't stop there, because yes, apple turnovers are easy to make, but a yummy apple dessert can be even easier and faster to prepare. If you've got a package of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls on the door of your fridge and Cosmic Crisp Washington Apples in the refrigerator crisper, you can have a tasty dessert ready in 20 minutes! These fast and easy vegan apple cinnamon crescent rolls are perfect for when you're feeling peckish on a dreary winter afternoon too.

Cosmic Crisp® Washington apples are crispier and sweeter than other varieties, and naturally slow to brown. The Cosmic Crisp® was classically bred at Washington State University. It's non-GMO and a cross between the ‘Enterprise’ and ‘Honeycrisp.’ Cosmic Crisps are ideal for baking in a dessert such as these apple cinnamon crescent rolls, but due to their sweetness and crispy texture, they also make an exceptional (juicy!) snacking apple.

Easy Vegan Zucchini Bread Recipe

Easy Vegan Zucchini Bread

This easy, healthy vegan zucchini bread recipe is a cinch to make, with natural ingredients that are easy to access.

At first glance, the zucchini isn't the flashiest of vegetables. It won't claim top prize among superfood vegetables like kale and broccoli. Zucchini is a little pale, perhaps a smidge bland. But this summer squash (which is botanically classified as a fruit) has lots to boast of, including plenty of vitamins, minerals and other beneficial compounds.

As we zoodle lovers know, zucchini also makes for a great low calorie, healthy noodle with a pleasant texture. In our house, we like to mix lightly sautéed zoodles into regular pasta to serve with traditional marinara sauce. It helps to increase our daily intake of vegetables in an easy and delicious way. Zucchini is also a low carb alternative to noodles for people with type 2 diabetes. Plus, zucchini is high in antioxidants, water and both soluble and insoluble fibre.
