2020 Calendar, Planner and Stickers (Giveaway)

I know, I know - Christmas hasn't even come yet and I'm already talking about the 2020 calendar! But after the Christmas whirlwind is over and the New Year's Eve champagne has dried up, it will be time for reflection, resolutions and planning our goals and activities for a fresh new year.

Personally, I believe in the importance of paper calendars and planners. Sure phone and online calendars are useful - especially if you are out and about making appointments and planning meet-ups. But I keep myself organized best with two strategic tools - a wall or fridge calendar and a desktop (like actually on top of the desk) planner. To keep on top of family activities and appointments during the week, and make sure everyone gets where they need to go, I rely on a calendar clipped to the side of our fridge. This is where we (okay I) write down doctor's appointments, dance classes, work and volunteer hours and basketball games.

For my 2020 calendar, I chose Mom's Family Wall Calendar 2020 by Sandra Boynton. It's going to be essential to keeping our family organized and on time in the new year.

This calendar is unique because it lists the days of the months down a long column on the left, with columns for each family member and their respective appointments and activities to the right. It also comes with some very cute stickers that make using the calendar more fun. (Note that I have my activity for January 1st, 2020 already planned - it's a sticker of a little dude sleeping in pyjamas.)

The family wall calendar also comes with nine adorable, inspirational fridge magnets that remind us to set out time to read, listen, think, love, create and relax. I think Mom's Family Wall Calendar 2020 is a great choice for busy families (and it's definitely meant for Dad too!).

I have a Pipsticks+Workman planner for 2019 and I really like it, so for my desk planner for 2020, I chose their Stay Golden 17-Month Large Planner 2019-2020. It's colourful and bright and will add some cheer to my daily planning. I use my planner mostly for work purposes - to note deadlines and daily to-dos. But I also duplicate most of our family appointments from the fridge calendar to my planner so I can see how driving to appointments will affect my work schedule.

This 2020 desk calendar comes with over 1,000 colourful stickers to help you mark appointments and activities. Some of the stickers are words - like "day off," "road trip," "book club" and "payday." Other stickers are cute pictures, of things like cacti, smiley faces and stars.

This planner also has a sparkly pouch in the front to hold pencils and notes. And each month has a page of creative prompts where you are encouraged to write down what you're making, watching, reading and thinking, among other things.
