There is something so lovely about using Pyrex bowls and dishes for baking, cooking and even serving up salads and desserts. It makes me feel all cheery inside. (It's the little things!) Some of the "regular" bowls I use for baking are just boring in comparison. I think part of it is stirring up that muffin batter or pancake mix in a bowl that has a sense of "history" - a connection to women who have prepared tasty goodies for their families before us. Essentially using a Pyrex bowl turns you into a domestic goddess, no?
Do you use your Pyrex regularly?

Domestic goddess? One in a full skirt dress, cinch waist, perfectly curl hair, red lipstick and in kitten heels making a casserole in a pyrex dish, in a speckless kitchen. I can work around any pyrex dish, so 1 out of 7. Not bad for a domestic goddess, eh? :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteI can do the red lipstick...maybe... ;) I like the picture you paint though. And I think you're doing pretty well. Let's just stick with using the Pyrex. :) Jo
DeleteI stored leftovers in two different Pyrex refrigerator dishes this week!!!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awesome! I'd love to have a fridge stacked with Pyrex! :)
DeleteI do use my vintage Pyrex. I also like feeling the connection!
ReplyDeleteI use the Pyrex kitchen bowls all the time, mis-matched, so handy.
ReplyDeleteI use it every day! I have a set of Early American Heritage Bowls--not the prettiest but I have the whole set! My mom used to send us out to pick strawberries in the big pyrex bowls and we'd cry because 'she was so mean!!" now we'd give anything to have those berry plants back!
