I Heart New York - A Road Trip Video

One year I really hope to spend Christmas and New Year's Eve in New York City. I just think the city must be so beautiful at this time of year, with all the lights and hustle and bustle. While we won't be going to New York City this Christmas, we did go for five fun-filled days as a family back in August.

My husband volunteered to make a brief video encapsulating our New York City road trip (which we hashtagged #nycroadtrippin on Instagram). I didn't realize it would take him four months to make the video, but I suppose beggars can't be choosers.

So, for those of you who love New York City too (maybe some of you are enjoying the holidays in New York right at this moment!) here's a look at some of our trip highlights.

Have you been to New York City? What were the highlights for you?

  3. I am so happy that you and your family enjoyed New York City. I live in Upstate New York. New York City is a different area. The New York City that I knew growing up and living there until I was 31 is not the same NYC that exists now. I miss the old NYC tremendously, but it is still a wonderful place to visit, and I love taking Amtrak down there to visit. NYC has so many fabulous museums, restaurants, and ethnic neighborhoods.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  5. What a sweet memory!
I spent a week in NYC fifteen summers ago. I loved arriving via commuter train from New Haven into Grand Central Station. I loved figuring out the subway, walking through Washington Square, and lolling around Central Park, eating Nutella on bread - a funny detail, but it's part of the charm!
