Happy Friday! I hope you are looking forward to a fun-filled weekend, light on laundry duties.
My husband is playing in a volleyball tournament tonight with other teachers, which means he will likely spend tomorrow complaining of sore muscles (and possibly bones). Once you reach a certain age, sports don't come easy. But hey, he's trying. My son has a soccer game tomorrow afternoon. At the age of 10, I'm sure he'll recover nicely. The most exercise I will get is cleaning a bathroom floor by hand or passing laundry from washer to dryer.
Anyway, here are some simple cell phone photos from the past week. I was playing around with the Cymera app, above. How juvenile am I?
As I said last Insta-Friday, I was hoping to get the family into Toronto on the weekend to go to Bunner's vegan and gluten-free bakery. I was successful this time. And my daughter was at a birthday party, so there were no sibling battles in the car on the way. Bonus. Check out those cinnamon buns! Yum.
We browsed a few nearby shops too. My son particularly liked the skate shop. Bunner's is in "The Junction," a Toronto neighbourhood that sits near the junction of four railway lines.
My husband and I loved this secondhand book/record shop. I have more photos from The Junction to share another day.
First a table and chairs, then a chalkboard. My daughter's homework area is taking over the kitchen. But who can refuse a kid the tools to do homework?
Despite the fact that it could snow any day (and sometimes has in the past week), we enjoyed a spring walk one day.
It's great to see the kids exploring in nature again. As you can see, Jolene the beagle mix just wanted to keep going though. She is always "hunting" with that crazy nose of hers.
Have a fabulous weekend friends!
So, is it laundry, good fun, or a bit of both for you this weekend?

Such a beautiful post!

Thanks so much Holly! :)
DeleteI think I drooled a little bit over those cinnamon buns! Yum-o!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, too!
I don't blame you Julee. They were delicious! :)
DeleteHa, ha! Your "light on laundry" comment has be chuckling. Weekends are always filled with laundry, no?
ReplyDeleteYes, unfortunately. Is it the same where you are, Lauren, that you save on hydro on weekends and holidays? They have us tied to the machines on the weekend. And our hydro bill is still so high. :(
DeleteLooks like fun all around! Love the hiking pics. Makes me want to go on a little hike this weekend! Hope your snow is finished.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too Ruthie! So much. I would like to take another hike in some moderately warm weather! :)
DeleteHow did the teachers do in the volleyball game lol?
ReplyDeleteI think his team lost most of their games. ;)
