I love your capture of your son, my daughters are starting to feel more camera shy as they are getting older I've noticed since I've starting weekly portraits. Setting up shop is always a fun game:)
I love how you are capturing their personalities in these portraits. So awesome. I have the opposite problem with my kids-- they are always mugging for the camera & I can't get 'em to just look like themselves lol.
Thanks so much Wendy. We are thinking of getting her into acting. She's very dramatic! I would be very surprised if the boy wanted to act, on the other hand. :)
Hi! I'm Joann, a Toronto, Canada freelance writer and mother of two kids and two beagle-mix rescue pups. Inspiration is all around us, but how often do we miss it as we speed through our days crossing things off our lists? Grab a cup of tea and join me in exploring the art in everyday life, including crafts, decor and lots of easy-to-make, family-friendly vegan food.
Great shots! Even with no photo release ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ruthie!

ReplyDeleteYes, it can be difficult to get portraits of my son sometimes. My daughter is mostly still ready to model though! :)
DeleteI love what you've written of your son. I rarely get a signature these days either. x
ReplyDeletePoor us. Following around the back of someone's head with a camera. ;)

ReplyDeleteAw, thanks Julee. :)
DeleteMine were like your two - one was always smiling for the camera, the other would just hang his head!!
ReplyDeleteFunny how different siblings can be, huh?

ReplyDeleteI have a niece like that. You can see her in my last Insta-Friday, mugging it up.
DeleteThese are great! I love how your daughter loves the camera and the shot of your son going to school is excellent!!!
