Insta-Friday in real life, with a chocolate fountain
It's Friday...and I'm about to share a bunch of seemingly random photos. They are united under the "Insta-Friday" theme...sharing simple family cell phone photos from the past week.
Last weekend, I went to get my hair cut. I hadn't been to the salon for, oh, something like 10 months. My hair was ragged. Here's my little gal all decked out for a cold day in the city of Toronto.
Here's one of the houses in Rosedale, near the salon. We park near these houses and gawk...that's about it. Maybe I'll win the lottery one day...
No matter how old I get, I still love to watch a train go by.
Here's Yonge Street, glammed up for the season.
On Saturday night, we went to a lovely party. Dessert came in the form of a chocolate fountain with lots of things to dip in...pineapple, apples, cookies...my son even dipped small chocolate cupcakes into the chocolate. The girls dug in, above.
Here is the aftermath. You can see my son abandoned a small dipped chocolate cupcake on the right. Lightweight.
In keeping with the chocolate theme, here's my little helper making chocolate macaroons. Recipe to come soon.
Yesterday, I showed you my rustic Advent calendar DIY.
I told you we had to hang it up high so Jolene the beagle mix wouldn't chew it. I wasn't kidding. She found it. I caught her twice yesterday climbing up on the arm of the sofa. Here she is just after being caught the second time. Oh, sure, you just wanted to sit on the couch, right Jolene?
How was your week? Any highlights?
Have a wonderful weekend folks!

I'm having a giveaway on my blog if you're interested. :)
I will check out the giveaway!! Thanks.
DeleteI am drooling just a bit over the chocolate fountain. It's also pretty close to lunch time. I'm a new GFC follower from the Aloha Affair hop! Esther Norine Designs
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming Esther. :)
DeleteHaha Jolene!
ReplyDeleteI saw her approaching it again today. She's clearly waiting for her moment. ;)
DeleteYou had me at chocolate fountain!!! Too funny about Jolene {the little tricksy}. Too funny!
ReplyDeleteI didn't actually have any of the chocolate. :( I don't think it's a dairy-free chocolate fountain! ;) I hope I can keep Jolene from destroying my fun project!
DeleteLove the advent calendar! Visiting from Life Rearranged :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Mandy, and thanks for visiting! :)
DeleteSounds like a fun week, and chocolate fountain? Yum!
ReplyDeleteThe party was wonderful! :)
DeleteI'm craving chocolate from a chocolate fountain now...!
ReplyDeleteI know. I was thinking about buying one. :)
DeleteI was in the city last weekend too - maybe we crossed paths and didn't even know it!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe we did! Funny.
DeleteJolene needs her own blog! :)
ReplyDeleteShe would like that, the sneaky devil. ;)
DeleteYour photos of the city are beautiful and your little one always makes me smile. :) As for Jolene, I know that "I didn't do it" look all to well... Lol.
ReplyDeleteOh, Wendy, is your doggie a bad pup too? ;)
DeleteThat house in Rosedale is beautiful. I can imagine how it must look inside. Jolene looks like such a sweetie pie.
ReplyDeleteI love that classic style of home, with the centre hall plan. I think it's because there were so many on the TV when I was growing up. Everyone had a giant house. ;)
DeleteI love your daughter's vest in the first picture. Toronto looks beautiful. Happy week with your naughty puppy!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I think the vest is cute too. And Toronto is lovely.
DeleteJolene is my constant companion. Thank goodness she behaves better when the kids are at school! Have a great week too!
