My new Nikon D5100 DSLR camera was delivered just this morning, and I already love it so much more than my Olympus.
This camera works indoors and out, unlike the Olympus, which seems to only function outdoors.
Of course, I followed everybody around with the camera, including my daughter and a visiting friend, as well as our doggie, Jolene, who was caught trying to steal lunch leftovers (again).
Check out the legs, above. So cute.

I adore my Nikon, and I'm saving my pennies for a fancier model :) Great shots from around your house, and don't worry- they'll get used to the paparazzi!
ReplyDeleteI used a Nikon D80 at work and I really liked it. The dog likes it when I take her picture. It gives her more time to get to the food before I stop her! ;)
DeleteLucky!! Love the pics & looking forward to all the new mischief your pup will get in to that will be forever captured on film!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tabetha! I look forward to exploring the camera's possibilities. Although, I am lazy about reading the guide. ;)
DeleteYour brown jar will have to move aside when more flower power arrives!!
ReplyDeleteNice pics - I'm always partial to red heads, I gave birth to one!!
I will be happy to move the brown jar! Looking forward to more orange flower goodies! Thanks Jill!
DeleteI have several red heads in my family too, including two siblings, although this little one is not related to me. :)
yay! a new camera! awesome pictures! especially your doggy's too funny! oh what fun summer is!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Today Jolene took some medication and she can't have her breakfast for three hours. She will spend the three hours crying!
DeleteSummer is indeed lots of fun! :)
Ooh yay- congrats! Your pictures look great and looking forward to many more.
ReplyDeleteThanks! And this one has video too, so I don't have to carry around my video camera. One less thing to carry is always appreciated when you have kids, right?
Deleteoooh new camera! You'll have so much fun :) We borrowed a photographer friend's super duper DSLR once and it was heaven, then I had to go back to my little point and shoot. WHAT a difference!
ReplyDeleteIt does make a difference for sure! Much easier to get a good shot with a good camera.
DeleteI got my new camera just over a week ago too and I know exactly how it feels to suddenly have a camera that works indoors too ! It's a like a whole new lease of life ! Enjoy !
