The recent half price sale at Goodwill presented this thrifting addict with some new temptations.
Among the gems that I ended up taking to the cash was this Don Draper-esque vintage ice bucket, made by Kraftware, 225 5th Ave., New York City. Almost makes you want to drink during the workday, doesn’t it? Who could resist this at $1.50? Not me.
I was drawn in by the two spouts on this Evangeline Pottery gravy boat, which was also $1.50.
Made in Japan pedestal dish, $1.25.
Canister, 75 cents.
I got some non-vintage items too. These bright appetizer dishes speak to me of summer entertaining, with their handy built-in wine glass holders.
I also got these fun little plates.
This Mayfair China bowl was mine for about $1. I thought it would make a nice serving dish for rice or chips, or just about anything really.

What thrifty find would you go mad for?

ReplyDeleteHave a great Monday ,lovely Greetings<3
I love that ice bucket! And All the pottery is great.
ReplyDeleteI spotted the ice bucket on Flea Market Finds and had to rush over to comment...how cool! I braved the Goodwill sale, too, but I think you did better than I did. I love the Evangeline piece, too!
ReplyDeleteThat ice bucket is too cool! Great loot.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny - we both found ice buckets within the last couple of weeks!!
ReplyDeleteJoanne, what great scores! I would so love to find a nice ice bucket. Since I don't drink *much* anymore, I gave all of mine away years ago. But now that I'm entertaining more, I realize I need at least one. Even with non-alcoholic drinks, an ice bucket looks so much better than a bowl on the table or in the sink. *_* Yeah, I've actually had to go there.*blush* We only have one Goodwill here locally and it isn't considered one of the least expensive stores. But when I travel, watch out! lol
ReplyDeleteBy the way, your finds will be featured at Frugal Treasures party this week. Congrats!!!
I agree, it's fun to glam things up a bit with an ice bucket. Our Goodwill isn't generally that cheap either, I think.
DeleteThanks so much for featuring my finds. Very exciting for me! :)
Love the ice bucket. I pick them up whenever I find a good deal on them. I love to use them for outdoor get togethers. I use them to hold my cold salads. Great finds! Thanks for sharing at TTF last week. I hope you are having a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Love it. Now I won't feel guilty buying more ice buckets. ;)
