I had no time to search for treasures at the thrift store this weekend. We had a full schedule of events. More about that on Friday.
In the meantime, I am preparing for a family gathering we are going to host next weekend. I am making an effort to use some of the vintage serving dishes I have acquired from my parents over the years.
They have lots of drinkware from the seventies. Good times, I guess.
I do recall crashing on a couch or spare bed next to my sister quite a few times while they partied, and I say good for them!
Here are some of the drinking aids they have given to me, including my favourite set, above.
That last one hangs around your neck so you never misplace your drink. I have four of those. Classy, huh?
Which set do you think I should break out this weekend?
What good-time tunes should we add to our party playlist?
If you get a moment, take a look at my new page about me ("The Woman," above). I finally put something together, painful as it is to do. Oh, and consider following me on Google Friend Connect or Bloglovin' if you like what you see here.

I love the 70's drinkware. Especially the orange and red pattern. So retro! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, what an amazing collection! I think the aqua and gold set is my favorite, but I love them all!
ReplyDeleteThat´s amazing ,love the second one :)
ReplyDeleteWish you a great Week!
I'll drink to that! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the second one ;)
xo
Ugh, About pages. I hate them so. It took me forever to get mine up.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I'd go with the first set. I *gasped* as soon as I saw it load on the page. Awesome, awesome, awesome!
I should have asked what to put in them too! ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful drinkware! I'm really digging the first one with those bright colors. :-) Hope you have a fabulous time with your family.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
DeleteI love the retro orange and red polka dots. But they're all beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteLove, love these glasses! It can be so hard to find interesting pieces that are anything but clear, and I do love a good pattern. The third set with the leaves is particularly pretty... I can see them fitting right into a number of gatherings and special occasions.
ReplyDeleteThanks Hannah. I am really trying to see how I can use these things instead of just storing them.
Deletelovely post that's very interesting, and the glasses are so pretty<3
ReplyDeletewould you like to follow each other?:)

That first set really pops out! They're all lovely. I like to play music from the 70's when I entertain. The faces first album, Early Van Morrison, Rory Gallager and anything with a retro funk or latin feel to it. Off to check out your pages. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the music ideas Wendy! I am looking forward to investigating them further!
DeleteOkay, loved the part about Nirvana, lol. You do know that Dave Grohl is my other boyfriend, right? ;)
ReplyDeleteWe are kindred spirits, you and I. Can you introduce me to Dave...please?
DeleteYes, I can do that... But don't get any ideas. :D (On a serious note - SIGH! He is so cute!)
ReplyDeleteIt's okay. I won't compete. I was more of a Kurt fan anyway, with his downcast look and his little wooly cardigans. ;)
DeleteGreat job with the Woman page! I still can't get round to doing mine:-( And the photo is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you. It is so hard to describe yourself isn't it?
DeleteOh my, I love all of these! But that second set- I covet :)
ReplyDeleteI think I may have gasped a little when I saw that top set. ;) Love it!
ReplyDeleteSo love your drinking buddies, and I would need to have the last one, so my drink is always where I need it. Really love all of them, so very pretty. Make drinking with them a special treat. Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration at Sunday's Best!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cathy! And thank you for hosting!
