Here is the final pair of items I found at Goodwill on my last visit. I discovered two pieces of blue pottery, marked Arden Pottery. According to this page, the pottery comes from Arden, Ontario, a picturesque village on Big Clear Lake. My favourite piece is this candle holder, probably because it has a clear use and the light shines nicely through the holes.
This blue pottery bowl is lovely too. I just have to think about what I'm going to use it for. I paid $7 for the two pieces.
Are you a pottery fan?

Hi Joann, thank you for hosting Vintage Bliss Tuesdays no. 12. Lovely candle holder. Snow here (Fraser Valley BC) but not on the roads. Ice runs in parking lots from daytime melting though. Season of walking carefully with observation.

You are most welcome! We don't have a single flake of snow here at the moment. Which is good because I don't have my snow tires on. (I'm in denial.) You are so right - we have to walk carefully in winter! (Sometimes the dogs almost take me down!)
DeleteI love it!! You should use it for a giant bowl of soup :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea! Stuffing myself with soup on a cold day sounds good. ;)
DeleteI love beautiful pottery like this...the blue is so pretty! Thanks for the party! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming to the party Diane! ;) Jo
DeleteI have to be honest, I have never been a fan of pottery. I was given a small pottery bowl for a wedding shower gift, I actually still have it but it just never did much for me!!! Pottery is popular though, nice find for you!!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny Jill. Thank goodness we are all unique - otherwise our homes would all look the same, and that would be boring. ;)
DeleteThe blue pottery pieces are very pretty. I love pottery. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteMe too...there's just something cozy about pottery! Have a wonderful week too!
DeleteI do buy signed pottery pieces when I can find them in the thrifts. Love the blue color. Thanks for joining Make It Monday.
ReplyDeleteI don't LOVE pottery but I don't despise it either, I guess I'm middle of the road really. I buy some I leave some. But I do like that cane;e holder, it's lovely! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteThanks dear for organizing this Blue Pottery & Vintage Bliss Tuesdays Linky Party. I really love this vintage stuff. I have also gathered some beautiful vintage items for my mom’s 50th birthday party that I will be hosting at some domestic vintage party event space San Francisco.
