Having done a few "thrifty finds" posts over the years, I have found that there is a wonderful online community of bloggers and readers who love vintage goods and thrifted treasures. It has inspired me to host my very first linky party series - I'm calling it Vintage Bliss Tuesdays. I'm hoping that many of you will join the party and link up your blog posts that feature thrifty finds, inherited gems, vintage treasures and garage sale goodies. I can't wait to see what you've discovered!
I did a little thrifting with my sister this past weekend. It's always nice to have company when thrifting. I share my opinions on the purses and shoes she picks out, while she shares her opinions on the items I'm thinking of purchasing - usually home and decor items. Being basket-obsessed as I am, I couldn't resist buying some inexpensive baskets. Like this delicate basket, above, holding the pretty flowers my sister cut from her garden for me. It was $2.
It was the lid that sold me on this sweet little basket. (For $2, who could blame me?) It has wire inside the handle, so it's bendable.
My mom always had a couple of baskets like this when I was growing up. She would line them with napkins and serve buns in them. I may just do the same or I may think of another use. What do you suggest?

I'm starting the party a little early, just because it's the first and I want time to make sure everything is set up okay. I'll usually aim to post for Tuesday mornings. I have created a handy button should you want to encourage others to join our party. Or you can use a text link instead. Please follow Woman in Real Life on Bloglovin' to be reminded when it's party time. And invite your friends. The more the merrier. Cheers!
